Brenda Kay Bumpas Billings, age 77, of Fordyce, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. John’s Place in Fordyce. Born April 16, 1948, in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Rex and Lois McMahan Raney.
Brenda was a graduate of Fordyce High School. She was a member of Bethel Number One Church in Rison. Brenda was retired from the United States Postal Service having served as a mail carrier for many years. She was also a hairdresser and cosmetologist. Brenda enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Willie Bumpas, Sr., one son, Willie Bumpas, Jr. and one daughter, Sheila Park.
Survivors are her husband, W.M. Billings of Rison, one sister, Sue Hays of Houston, TX, five grandchildren, Justin Williams, Krystal Bumpas, Willie Bumpas III, Kory Dunn and Josh Davison, one great-grandchild, Zaiden Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Wright Cemetery in Fordyce with Bro. Mark Wheeler officiating.
No visitation is planned.
Pallbearers are Greg Kassa, Larry Williams, Justin Williams, Rickey Williams, Patrick Maness, Willie Bumpas III and Josh Davison.
Memorials may be made to Prosperity Baptist Church.
