GURDON, Arkansas — A TEXarkana man is facing felony charges in Clark County for his alleged involvement in a string of burglaries targeting Dollar General stores across Southwest Arkansas.
Court records filed in Clark County allege that Xavier Marcel Aldridge, 36, is among three suspects who broke into the Dollar General Market Place in Gurdon during the early morning hours of Aug. 18, 2025.
Inside the store, the trio cut the safe’s doors from their hinges, allowing them to make off with some $7,000 in cash.
The M.O. in the Gurdon burglary was the same as other incidents reported throughout Southwest Arkansas between September and August. Other burglaries were reported at Dollar General stores in Hope, Mineral Springs, Prescott and the Texarkana area.
Investigators used a database from a Flock license plate reader in Texarkana to uncover a description of the suspect vehicle, which was seen on security footage captured at a DG burglary in Hope. In late August investigators, equipped with a search warrant, used GPS to track the movements of the suspect vehicle as yet another DG burglary occurred in Douglasville, Texas, according to a police affidavit. A traffic stop was later made on the vehicle, with police identifying Aldridge as the driver and Jucquian Tyson as the passenger. Both were detained and taken to the Bowie County Detention Center in TEXarkana where, as of early December 2025, Tyson remained in custody on felony drug charges and another “unassigned” felony charge.
TexARKana investigators then sought subpoenas for Aldridge’s phone records and tower records. Investigators with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office note in an affidavit that the findings of those subpoenas connected Aldridge to the Gurdon Dollar General Market at the time it was burglarized.
Aldridge was arrested Nov. 11 and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Clark County Deputy Prosecutor Greg Vardaman has charged Aldridge with Commercial Burglary, Theft of Property between $5,000-$25,000, and 1st-degree Criminal Mischief.
Aldridge entered a not guilty plea on Dec. 2 in Clark County Circuit Court. He’s being represented by Public Defender Joseph Jackson.
At the time of this report, Aldridge was the only suspect being charged in Clark County for the DG burglary.
