Jane Marie Sharp, age 71, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born October 3, 1954, in Mountain Home, AR, the daughter of the late Charles Marshall “Ike” and Billie Geurin Sharp.
Jane was a 1972 graduate of Douglas High School in Douglas, AZ, she held a BSE and MSE from OBU in 1977 and 1978 and a Doctorate in Education from UALR in 2008. She taught public schools in Little Rock, Benton, Russellville and Rison during her career. Jane was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking Mexican food, traveling and following the Ouachita Tigers.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Paul Dewey Sharp.
Survivors are one brother, David Sharp (Carrie) of Arkadelphia.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 1, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock with Dr. Rex Horne officiating.
Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.
Memorials may be made to Ouachita Gridiron Club.
