John Nute Ward, age 65, of Amity, passed from this life on Friday, November 21, 2025, at his home. He was born November 3, 1960, in Murfreesboro, the son of the late Louis Vernon and Mildred Snow Ward.
John was a retired lumber grader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and most of all being with his grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia Dispensa Ward of Amity, two sons, Brandon Ward (Lauren) of Hot Springs and Bryan Ward (Santana) of Hot Springs, three grandchildren, Baylee, Bradlee and Brantlee Ward, three brothers, Huey Ward (Brenda) of Amity, Cecil Ward (Angie) of Amity and Dennis Ward (Denise) of Alpine, four sisters, Beverly Blair of Mt. Ida, Debbie Johnson (Larry) of Glenwood, Mary Sue Ward of Glenwood and Deona Doster (Mark) of Amity.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Second Baptist Church of Amity with Pastor Steven Kirkpatrick officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery.
