From the National Weather Service in Little Rock
November’s full moon, the Beaver Moon, will be at its brightest tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025. The Beaver Moon will be the largest and brightest superman of 2025.
A supermoon occurs when a full moon happens to coincide with its closest approach to Earth, which makes it appear brighter and larger.
The moon will rise in Arkadelphia at 5:11 p.m. and set at 6:44 a.m. Thursday.
This supermoon will be the closest any moon will get to Earth this year, located only 221,823 miles away at its closest point.
The Beaver Moon got its name because this is usually the time of year when beavers start to hunker down in their lodges after gathering food for the upcoming winter.
Viewing conditions should be optimal for Arkansans as mostly clear skies are expected the next few nights.
