Gone from view but held forever in our hearts, the beautiful life of Mollie Johnson Wiley came gently to rest on October 22, 2025.
On October 13, 1953, the world became a brighter place with the birth of a beautiful baby girl and her twin sister to the late Roy and Dorothy Johnson in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. From a young age, Mollie accepted Christ and carried her faith throughout her life. She was a faithful member of Piney Grove AM&E Church in the Manchester community, where she held several positions. Her faith was reflected in her warm heart, her generosity, and the life she lived.
As a scholar, Mollie attended Sparkman High School. She was the proud wife of Larry Wiley for 53 years. To their union, two beautiful baby boys were born, James Kelly and Jeston Keith. Mollie was also a proud and devoted grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “Granny,” as she was affectionately called, celebrated each of their accomplishments with love and joy.
Mollie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dorothy Johnson; her brother, Lee E. Johnson; and her cherished niece, Regina Davis Saine.
