MagnoliaReporter.com: Smackover Lithium files Definitive Feasibility Study for Lafayette-Columbia project

LEWISVILLE, Arkansas — Smackover Lithium, a 55:45 owned joint venture between Standard Lithium Ltd. and Equinor, announced Tuesday, October 14, 2025 that the Definitive Feasibility Study for its South West Arkansas project in Lafayette and Columbia counties has been filed.

The study projects a $1.45 billion investment for the production of lithium at a facility south of Lewisville, drawing on brine pumped from below the two counties.

A Definitive Feasibility Study is a comprehensive report, which concludes the most detailed analysis of a proposed project’s technical, economic, and operational viability before making a final financial commitment.

It is typically filed with regulatory bodies, investors, or stakeholders to secure funding and demonstrate the project’s potential for success, based on its final, detailed plans, cost estimates, and market analysis.
