Bits & Pieces: Taking time

Acknowledging our website has been stagnant for the past several days. We took a brief vacation last week, only to return to a dire family situation requiring our full attention. For the next several days (possibly weeks) our main focus will be on family. We will make our best attempt to carve out some time each weekday to gather and report a few news items.

Ocean Springs, Mississippi, is a lovely, quaint town. Make a point to visit if you frequent the Gulf Coast. We’ll definitely return to explore more.

Probably the shortest Bits & Pieces column on record. Rare is the occasion that we place our column in the top three spots on the website, but felt this one necessary in order to explain our absence of late.

Through the rest of this swimming season, the Arkadelphia Aquatic Park has transitioned to weekend-only hours. Regular weekend hours are Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. The park’s final weekend of operation will be over Labor Day, when it will be open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The Aquatic Park will open one last time on Saturday, Sept. 6, for the annual Doggie Dip event.
