Rebecca “Becky” Elaine Peters, age 71, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday May 16, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. She was born on February 25, 1954, in Arkadelphia the daughter of the late Royal Garl and Hugh Dell Smith Neel.
Becky was a 1972 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Becky married the love of her life, Gary Peters, in 1974, and they were married for 45 years until his death in 2019. She worked several places, including Fred’s for 17 years, Group Living for several years and Henderson State University where she retired after 20 years of service as the head cashier. Becky enjoyed gardening, attending Henderson Reddie football games, spending time with her husband and son, taking care of her Jack Russell Terrier, Miley, and daily chats with her sister, Cindy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Gary Peters.
Becky is survived by her son, Michael Peters of Arkadelphia, one sister, Cindy Hardin of Bismarck, several cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 22, 2025, at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. Kyle Peters officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Rest haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Scott Peters, Roger Wingfield, Bryan Roberts, Gunnar Roberts, Terry Roberts, and Ray Wingfield.
