HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas — Mid-America Science Museum will debut its newest traveling exhibition, the Lost World of Dragons, on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The exhibit will be on view through Sunday, Aug. 17, in the museum’s Hall of Wonder and is included with general admission. The museum is located at 500 Mid America Blvd.
Presented by Stage 9 Exhibits, the Lost World of Dragons invites visitors to explore the global mythology of dragons through an immersive and interactive experience. The exhibit features seven life-size animatronic dragons with realistic movement and sound, as well as hands-on displays that explore the origins and cultural significance of dragon legends across continents. Guests will learn about how these myths have shaped human understanding through history, science, literature, and art. As part of the experience, visitors can create their own dragon stories using stop-motion animation tools.
“This exhibit is an exciting opportunity for families to experience something that is visually spectacular while also packed with fun educational opportunities,” said Diane LaFollette, CEO of Mid-America Science Museum. “The Lost World of Dragons encourages visitors to think critically about how mythology and science intersect and evolve. Our continued partnership with Stage 9 Exhibits allows us to bring world-class, interactive experiences to Hot Springs that spark curiosity and inspire lifelong learning.”
The Lost World of Dragons is the latest in a series of collaborations between Mid-America Science Museum and Stage 9 Exhibits, which previously brought Toytopia, Expedition Dinosaur: Rise of the Mammals, and Hall of Heroes to the museum.
