Several more inches of rain will be possible through Friday over the western and southwestern part of Arkansas as a pattern of unsettled weather continues, the National Weather Service in Little Rock said early Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The Arkadelphia area is forecast to receive up to 2 inches of rainfall through Friday, with higher amounts possible in Hot Spring, Pike and northern Nevada County. A Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning for those counties.
Excessive runoff could result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas, and low-water crossings may be flooded.
Arkadelphia’s forecast calls for a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Wednesday. The pattern will continue throughout the evening and into Thursday morning. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches will be possible.
Precipitation chances diminish briefly Thursday night, followed by another possible round of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon. Chance of rain and storms is 50%.
The weekend calls for mostly clear skies and calm winds, with highs in the mid 70s and nighttime lows around 50.
