The Arkadelphia Bypass is now halfway complete, the Arkansas Department of Transportation announced recently on its Facebook page.
ARDOT said crews are “making big strides” and “tackling key improvements” on the project’s four zones, including storm drain system installation, roadway paving and widening, sidewalk and curb construction, and new traffic signals.
Zone 1, the area of Professional Park Drive, is 50% complete. The agency said work continues on storm drains, road base and sidewalks. Zone 2A, from Pine Street to Red Hill Road, is 75% complete. Remaining work includes asphalt surfacing, tie-ins and a new cul-de-sac. Zone 2B, from Red Hill Road to US Highway 67, is 75% finished. Crews there are finishing asphalt surfacing and storm drains. Zone 3, from Walnut Street to Henderson State University, is at 10% complete. ARDOT says earthwork has started, and utility relocations are in progress.
Dr. Wesley Kluck last week posted drone footage to Facebook on March 25, 2025.
