This is a roundup of felony charges filed between March 14-28, 2025, by the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office. Some defendants may also have misdemeanor charges against them, but most are not included here. The following names and charges, which are contained within public documents, are gathered from online court records available through ARCourts. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Here’s a rundown of felony cases filed in the past two weeks:
Clark County Jail kitchen supervisor nabbed for supplying THC vape pens to prisoners
An employee of a Clark County jail vendor responsible for supervising kitchen duties could serve prison time for allegedly supplying prisoners with cannabinoids.
On March 5, 2025, inmates assigned to the detention center kitchen detail were randomly drug tested and tested positive for THC.
An investigation was initiated by Lt. Russell Ursery, who learned the inmates had ingested the Delta 8 THC with the use of vape pens and cartridges. Knowing they weren’t items sold or available through the facilities commissary, Ursery further probed the matter and interviewed Kenya Marie Johnson, a Tiger employee who had been the kitchen supervisor for about 1.5 years. Johnson, 29, admitted during an interview that she purchased and provided “numerous” vapes, along with Delta 8 THC cartridges, to inmates assigned to the kitchen detail.
Johnson, who lists a Malvern address, was arrested and booked on March 5. She posted a $25,000 bond the following day. A court order dated March 21 modified bond conditions to nix a previously required electronic monitor and house arrest.
Johnson faces the charge of furnishing prohibited articles into a correctional facility, a Class C felony that carries a prison sentence of 3-10 years and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
Arkadelphia woman arrested for attempting to steal chicken dinners
The expression “winner winner chicken dinner” apparently does not apply to one Arkadelphia woman who attempted to steal over $1,100 in meals from a local restaurant.
Search warrant leads to discovery of meth, arrest of 2
On March 4, 2025, officers with the Arkadelphia Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Group 6 Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant at an apartment complex on Crestwood Drive, Gurdon.
Prior to the search, resident Kebrecus Blakely, 33, was observed leaving in a car. Gurdon police made a traffic stop shortly after, and Blakely was returned to the apartment.
Upon entry, contact was made with Keshawn Moore, 34, who was in possession of a plastic bag containing four individually wrapped crack cocaine rocks. A search of Moore’s bedroom yielded a bag of marijuana weighing 2.1 grams.
During the search officers found digital scales, baggies and 1.7 grams of methamphetamine.
The residence is located within 1,000 feet of Gurdon Public Schools. Blakely had been convicted of four or more felony offenses.
Blakely is being charged with maintaining a drug premises and possession of paraphernalia. Prosecutors are seeking a sentence enhancement given Blakely’s status as a repeat offender. Each Class B felony carries a prison sentence of 5-30 years. Blakely is also charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class D punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
Moore is being charged with maintaining a drug premises, possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, and possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance.
Arkadelphia man jailed in crack cocaine bust
An Arkadelphia man was jailed when narcotics agents found a sizable amount of crack cocaine in his residence.
A March 6 search warrant at Markeith Buckley’s Clinton Street residence netted a shoe box containing bags of crack cocaine and $6,005 in cash. Buckley had $3,299 in cash on his person.
Buckley is charged with possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver. Prosecutors are seeking a sentence enhancement given Buckley’s status as a habitual offender, enhancing the charge to a Class A felony punishable by 6-50 years in prison. Buckley is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony that carries a prison term of up to 12 years.
Family disturbance leads to arrest of Gurdon man
On March 17, 2025, sheriff’s deputies were summoned to a domestic disturbance at 1423 Highway 53 North, Gurdon. While on scene they learned there had been a physical altercation between 32-year-old Stephen Hawk Fries and four relatives, including a juvenile.
During the physical altercation with a female relative, a male intervened but was chased outside, where Fries reportedly threw rocks at him, striking him in the back and knocking him to the ground.
Others retreated indoors, only to have Fries attempt to break the door down while making death threats.
When police arrived they found Fries hiding in an outbuilding. He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.
Fries, a parolee under active supervision, is facing three counts on the charge of aggravated assault, second-degree battery, endangering the welfare of a minor and three counts of terroristic threatening, each a Class D felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Prosecutors are seeking a sentence enhancement given Fries’s status as an habitual offender.
Traffic stop leads to cocaine find
A Gurdon man was arrested March 7, 2025, during a traffic stop on US Highway 67 at its intersection with Airport Road, in Gurdon.
Noting expired tags on a vehicle, a Clark County sheriff’s deputy conducted the stop on a car driven by 71-year-old Albert Eldon Williams.
Williams was instructed to exit the vehicle for a pat-down search of his person, which revealed a plastic bag containing 1 gram of crack cocaine in a shirt pocket.
A search of the vehicle reportedly netted drug paraphernalia, also.
Williams is charged with possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, a Class D felony punishable by up to 6 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
No tags on car leads to search, drug arrest for Arkadelphia woman
A February traffic stop at 10th and Caddo streets resulted in the arrest of an Arkadelphia woman in possession of meth.
On Feb. 27, 2025, a Group 6 Drug Task Force agent conducted a traffic stop on a car without license plates. A passenger inside the vehicle, 39-year-old April Dawn Bromley, was reportedly in possession of a wallet containing a pipe an a bag with 2 grams of meth.
Bromley is being charged with possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance-methamphetamine, a Class C felony that carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
Gurdon dad owes $30K in child support
Robert Fisher was directed to pay weekly child support payments beginning in January 2015. Fisher, 32, reportedly last provided support in June 2024. He owes $30,130.25 in child support.
The Gurdon resident faces a criminal charge for nonsupport, a Class B felony punishable by 5-20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $15,000.
