Robert “Bob” Ewing Houston, Jr., PHD., age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born October 19, 1943, in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Robert Ewing and Georgia Stewart Houston, Sr.
Bob was a 1962 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, TX and a 1970 graduate of University of North Texas in Denton, TX.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving during Vietnam and participated in the Navy band. Bob was Vice President for Academic Affairs at Henderson State University for many years. He was a member of the Rotary Club and enjoyed music in his free time.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife Carol Joy (Kozeny) Houston of Arkadelphia and one brother, John Houston (Beverly) of Dallas, TX.
