The City of Arkadelphia issued 13 building permits with an estimated construction value of $460,546 for the month of February 2025.
The estimated year-to-date value of construction jobs in Arkadelphia now totals an estimated $1.37 million.
Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. Here’s a rundown of permits issued in February 2025:
Robert Henley’s Hillview Investments is contracting Nelson Construction to build two new single-family dwellings. One is at 2625 Evonshire, and one is at 2619 Evonshire. The homes are costing $180,000 each to build.
A pole sign was to be installed at 323 High School Drive, the new home of self-storage units owned by Montgomery Rentals, a Missouri company. Coast to Coast, of Scott City, Missouri, is being paid $22,875 for the installation.
Signage is also going up at the Arkadelphia Community Family Enrichment Center, 323 N. 23rd St., to replace signage for the newly named Arkansas Early Learning Center. The Jonesboro-based Crenshaw Signs LLC was contracted for the $1,705 job.
A demolition permit was filed to raze properties owned by Barbara Howell at 212 S. Austin St. and 417 Austin St. No contractor was listed for the $1,500 job.
Another demolition was in the works for a home at 309 Riverside Dr., owned by Clyde Briggs. No contractor was listed for the $8,000 job.
