The National Weather Service in Little Rock is predicting several storm systems to move across the region beginning Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, and lasting through Thursday of next week.
The latest forecast map indicates the region could receive up to 4 inches of rainfall next week. The highest amounts of rain will be over the south and southeast section of the state. Localized flooding will be possible. The Ouachita River below Camden remained under a Flood Warning on Friday morning. The river level there was about 1 foot above the flood stage of 25.5 feet, and falling after a 30.68 crest on Feb. 4.
Much colder air is set to arrive early next week as a cold front moves across the area. Some winter weather can not be ruled out across the northern Arkansas from Tuesday night through early Thursday.
The extended forecast for the Arkadelphia area calls for a warm, pleasant Saturday under partly cloudy skies, followed by a Sunday high of 48 with chances of rain in the afternoon. Precipitation chances will increase Monday to 50% and 80% that evening, with a low of 37.
Rain is forecast to continue through Thursday, with daytime highs in the mid 40s and nighttime lows around the freezing mark.
