Building Permits: AT&T adding C-Band 5G to Arkadelphia tower

The City of Arkadelphia issued 9 building permits with a combined construction valued at an estimated $254,100 for the month of December 2024.

The estimated value of construction jobs in Arkadelphia during 2024 totaled about $12.2 million.

Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. Here’s a rundown of permits issued in December 2024:

AT&T is adding antennas at the 16th Street water tower to include a Department of Defense portion of C-Band frequencies to its existing configuration. The $25,000 job was hired out to the Plano, Texas-based Ericsson, with Fullerton Engineering (Schaumberg, Illinois) acting as designer and Daniel Smith as engineer.

National Convenience Solutions was hired for an interior renovation at Circle K, 3005 Pine St. The $170,000 renovation is to include paint, cabinets, equipment and demolition of an interior wall.

The City of Arkadelphia hired Gurdon-based McKenzie Farms for the demolition of a city-owned property at 4 Hills Court. The city purchased the 1,490-SF home, located off of South 23rd Street, in 2023 after court-ordered mediation in a $75,000 settlement. Cost of the demolition is $7,500.
