The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Oct. 14
Police investigated a forgery at Family Dollar. Additional details weren’t available as the incident was categorized as a felony.
4:36 p.m.
Following multiple 911 calls regarding a domestic disturbance, police responded to a Clay Street residence, where police say they observed Colton Jeffery Pipkin, 30, shove a female outside and run into his home. He was detained for displaying erratic behavior. Paramedics were called to the scene to assess Pipkin, who said he’d overdosed on narcotics earlier in the day and had been released from medical treatment. Despite the female’s plea with officers to not press charges, Pipkin was taken into custody for third-degree domestic battery.

12:16 p.m.
A Bismarck woman reported her car door had been damaged while shopping at Walmart.
3:33 p.m.
Officers were called to Walmart for a report of a shoplifter. Store personnel had detained Jamal Thomas Nurmohamed, 38, of Hope, after observing him conceal 21 sets of Pokemon trading cards valued at $128. Nurmohamed was taken to the county jail, where he was processed and released with a citation for property theft.
Wednesday, Oct. 16
Police investigated an aggravated robbery at Feaster Park. No other details were included in the felony incident report.
Juvenile report: Sexual Assault 4th Degree
Police investigated the theft of a credit card at Arkadelphia High School. Details weren’t included in the felony incident report.
Thursday, Oct. 17
8:30 a.m.
Officers responded to an apartment complex on North 10th Street for a domestic disturbance in progress. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The complainant said she caught her brother pleasuring himself on the couch, and that he became unruly when she told him to clean the furniture. A verbal dispute turned into what was described as wrestling and threats with a baseball bat. Police advised the resident of the eviction process and how to obtain a no-contact order.
5:45 p.m.
A Welch Street woman reported being scammed out of $500 on Facebook Marketplace. Having placed a $50 hold for a couch listed at $200, she sent the $200 electronically but was soon informed by the seller that there had been an issue with $100. She was asked to send another $100 and complied with the understanding that she would receive cash when the couch was delivered. Another $150 was sent to the seller before contact was cut off; she never got the couch.
Friday, Oct. 18
Juvenile report: Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree
5:20 p.m.
An officer patrolling Arkadelphia Plaza, 112 W.P. Malone Dr., checked on the welfare of a man slumped in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck. The subject said he was OK, then huffed canned air while the officer was talking to him, sending him into a state of unconsciousness. A short time later he came to, was pulled from the vehicle and handcuffed. Identified as Tyler Scott Gray, 35, of Malvern, he refused medical treatment when paramedics showed up, then was taken to jail on charges of public intoxication.
6:32 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Walmart for a store complaint of a trespasser. Upon arrival police observed Aubrie Janell Dillard, 43, of Amity, exiting the grocery side with a cart containing merchandise that had not been paid for. Dillard said she was going to her vehicle to retrieve a credit card in order to pay for the items. An inspection of her purse in search of other possible stolen merchandise yielded other cards and cash. Her shopping cart contained 35 items valued at a total of $663. Dillard was issued a citation for criminal trespass and theft of property and given a lifetime ban from Walmart.
7 p.m.
Police were called to an apartment complex at 2551 Country Club Drive for a report of assault. The complainant said he and his daughter had given a known male a ride from 26th and Pine. The hitchhiker grew angry when he was told multiple times to stay off the side rail of the pickup’s cargo area, reportedly punching the complainant in the jaw and scratching the daughter when she intervened. The hitchhiker then left the area on foot.
Juvenile report: Leaving the Scene of an Accident
Police investigated a report of 1st degree criminal mischief at the 1100 block of Cutler Street. No other details were included in the felony incident report.
7:49 p.m.
Police were requested at Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., for a report of an intoxicated driver in the parking lot. Contact was made with Christy Lynn Daniel, 53, of Arkadelphia, who appeared to be under the influence. After failing field sobriety tests and a portable breath test, Daniel was cited for public intoxication and transported to Baptist Health Medical Center for further evaluation.
Sunday, Oct. 20
9:10 a.m.
Police were called to the scene of a house fire at Ashbury Court, where a firefighter found a “large bag” of marijuana weighing 35 grams, as well as other contraband. The resident had requested a fireman locate her keys in a bedroom. A pistol found in the bedroom contained no serial numbers. Both the marijuana and pistol were collected as evidence, and an investigator was made aware of the findings.
7:40 p.m.
A Bryant woman reported being assaulted at a Gresham Street residence where she was styling a man’s hair. His brother reportedly made unrequited sexual advances which led to a verbal altercation and, eventually, an exchange of candle throwing. The male left the area on foot when his mother walked in and intervened.

2:45 p.m.
A Gurdon woman complained that a known male violated a protection order she had against him, as he continuously showed up at her house and wouldn’t leave. Contact was made with the suspect, Donald Ferguston, 61, also of Gurdon, at Taco Bell in Arkadelphia. He was taken into custody.
