Dispatch Desk: Aug. 19-25

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Aug. 18
Juvenile report: Assault on a Family or Household Member 2nd Degree

Police investigated an aggravated assault at the 400 block of North 16th Street. Additional details were not available as the Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow public inspection of felony incident reports.

Monday, Aug. 19
4:23 a.m.
Officers responded to Cutler Terrace Apartments, 1401 Cutler St., for a physical altercation between sisters. The aggressor fled the scene prior to police arrival. No arrest was made.

11:27 a.m.
Vandalism to a vehicle was reported at South View Apartments, 650 S. 5th St.

Tuesday, Aug. 20
8:58 a.m.
A Mockingbird Lane woman reported someone in New York used her EBT card information to make purchases totaling more than $100.

Juvenile report: Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree

Wednesday, Aug. 21
Police assisted another agency with a felony incident at the 3300 block of Country Club Road. No other details were available because the Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow the public to view or inspect felony incident reports.

Juvenile report: Disorderly Conduct.

Police investigated an aggravated assault at the 200 block of Clinton Street. The Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow us to look at felony incident reports.

9:15 p.m.
Officers were requested at 15th and Gresham streets for a report of a woman wielding a knife during a verbal dispute in the street. A search for the suspect, who left on foot prior to police arrival, was unsuccessful.

Police investigated financial identity fraud at the 1000 block of Evergreen. Additional details were unavailable as felony incident reports may not be seen by members of the public at the Arkadelphia Police Department.

Thursday, Aug. 22
12:32 p.m.
A Walmart customer spoke to an officer at the police department to report someone had snatched her purse. She was shopping around noon when she briefly turned away from her cart, and turned around to find her purse was gone. Four hours later she phoned to report that she found her purse, which she said her cat had pulled beneath her bed.

3:20 p.m.
A realtor reported someone unlawfully entered a vacant residence on Hunter Street. Nothing appeared to be missing.

6:04 p.m.
Police were summoned to a residence at the 200 block of North 24th Street for a report of someone outside with a blade. Upon arrival an officer spoke with a female who said she and a male had just been attacked by her sons because they didn’t want the male at the residence. An hour later police were called to the 900 block of South 25th Street Circle, where that female showed up at her sons’ residence armed with a baseball bat. She left prior to police arrival.

7:11 p.m.
Krystal Latrice Tate, 41, of Arkadelphia, was cited at Walmart for theft of property after a store complaint of a shoplifter not scanning items at a self checkout lane. Tate was also served with warrants for Clark and Hot Spring counties.

Saturday, Aug. 24
12:31 a.m.
An officer patrolling the 2500 block of Country Club Road investigated an open storage unit and noticed it had been forced open. Unable to ascertain whether anything had been taken, contact was made with the renter, who met officers at the unit during daylight hours and did not notice anything missing.

Sunday, Aug. 25
1:58 a.m.
Following a caller’s request to check on the welfare of residents outside a North 14th Street home, police made contact with a male and female who had been in an argument. The male agreed to leave at the female’s request.

Police investigated the breaking or entering of a vehicle at 2555 Twin Rivers Dr. No additional details are available as the Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow the public to view felony incident reports.

Sunday, Aug. 18
5:45 p.m.
A deputy was dispatched to Clear Lake off of state Highway 51 for a report of an unoccupied vehicle on its side in a ditch. The deputy located a blue Ford Explorer on its passenger side on the right side of the road. All the side airbags had been deployed, and the driver’s side window was down. While waiting for a wrecker, the deputy ran the tags to discover the vehicle belonged to a Clay Street, Arkadelphia, man. An APD officer contacted the owner, who relayed that he was aware the vehicle had been wrecked because the driver, who apparently had permission to use it, had told him about the wreck. The deputy went to the driver’s reported place of employment but was told by an employee that he didn’t work there.
