The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Aug. 5
8:06 a.m.
A Donaldson woman reported losing her iPhone 15 Pro Max in a Rugrats case at Walmart.
4:31 p.m.
Police were summoned to The Plaza at Twin Rivers, 3007 Twin Rivers Dr., for a report of a suspicious male. Once the person was removed from the facility and transported to Baptist Health Medical Center for assessment, an officer made contact with a girlfriend who informed of his mental disability. The information was relayed to medical staff.
Police investigated a residential burglary at Mill Creek Apartments, 1603 Welch St. Additional details were not available as felony incident reports are not released for public inspection.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
4:11 a.m.
A Mill Creek Apartments resident reported someone, likely a known suspect, broke into his apartment, broke a television, threw bleach on clothing and stole $200 in cash.
7:18 a.m.
Domante Giovanni Joseph Jimenez, 19, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 1039 Main St. for assault on a family or household member when the arresting officer observed a male grab a female and throw her onto the steps. Jimenez reportedly told police that he and his girlfriend were arguing over marijuana she owed him. Upon a search of his person prior to being placed in the patrol car, Jimenez was also cited for drug and paraphernalia possession charges.
7:20 a.m.
Makaylee Anne Riley, 19, of Donaldson, was also arrested at the Main Street location, for disorderly conduct. An irate Riley yelled and swore at officers while they were in the process of arresting Jimenez.
12:37 p.m.
The manager of Beehive thrift store complained of a pair of thefts captured on surveillance footage earlier that morning. One suspect she recognized was seen pulling up to the donation dock in a white minivan and leave with a pair of dumbbells, a backpack and a handbag. A second thief whom she also recognized was seen showing up on foot and leaving with an unknown amount of clothing.
2:47 p.m.
An officer was requested at Bank OZK’s downtown branch to retrieve a handgun belonging to a now-deceased renter of a safe deposit box. The handgun was recovered and placed into evidence for safekeeping.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
Juvenile report: Domestic Battery 3rd Degree
3:03 p.m.
Officers were summoned to a Clay Street residence for the unattended death of a 69-year-old male. The coroner determined the cause of death to be natural due to his medical conditions.
7:59 p.m.
Police were called to Walmart for a store complaint of criminal trespass by three known suspects from Donaldson. Upon arrival police spoke with the trio, who said a verbal altercation ensued with the store’s loss prevention officer due to his allegedly observing their shopping about the store, saying they felt harassed. The confrontation at a self checkout lane prompted the loss prevention officer to order the three to leave. They instead stood their ground as the loss prevention officer phoned the police department. Officers told the three they would face arrest and criminal trespass charges should they return to Arkadelphia Walmart, and the party left without further incident.
Thursday, Aug. 8
9:37 a.m.
A pair of ladies reported being harassed by a known male. They were advised of no contact order procedures.
8:21 p.m.
Tysheka Shakur Powell, 27, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Phillips 66 at 10th and Caddo streets for domestic battery third degree. Police were originally called to a residence at the 1600 block of Logan Street, where a relative reported that Powell came in and struck her in the face, causing injury to her forehead and cheek. Officers meanwhile located Powell at the gas station and took her into custody.
Friday, Aug. 9
7:59 a.m.
Officers were called to the Road Runner gas station on West Pine Street for a report of a single-vehicle accident. A witness said he observed the eastbound vehicle leave the roadway and drive into the tree line, then watched as the driver exited the vehicle and walked across the street talking on his phone. While waiting for a wrecker, the vehicle’s registered owner arrived; asked who was driving the vehicle, the owner said he was clueless. Management at the gas station identified the driver from photographs an officer provided. Attempts to locate the driver were unsuccessful.

1:23 p.m.
A Lark Place woman complained that someone cut some plants on her porch and caused damage to her door knob.
Saturday, Aug. 10
Juvenile report: Domestic Battery 3rd Degree
Police investigated a breaking or entering at the 100 block of South Clark Street. Additional details were not available as felony incident reports are not subject to public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department.
8:55 p.m.
Officers were called to a residence at the 2400 block of Caddo Street for a report of a possible breaking or entering by a known female. Police inspected the area where the alleged entry was made but found no possible way for it to have happened. Police were called back to the residence a while later for a similar report but found no evidence to substantiate the claim, except for ugly words written in lipstick on a bathroom mirror. The resident was advised of affidavit procedures and how to obtain a no contact order.
Sunday, Aug. 11
7:39 a.m.
Officers were called to a residence at the 200 block of Clinton Street, where a woman phoned 911 to report her estranged husband was attempting to break in. Police arrived and spoke with the husband, who said he was there to retrieve personal belongings, but the complainant said he had no property there. The male was advised of civil procedures and instructed to leave the property.
11:13 a.m.
A Splash Car Wash customer complained that equipment in the automatic bay had caused damage to her vehicle, scratching the hood and breaking the antenna.

Monday, Aug. 5
6:18 p.m.
Deputies were called to a Cedar Grove Road residence for a complaint of a man breaking a window out of a vehicle. Contact was established with all involved parties. Police have responded to the suspect’s residence multiple times for his aggressive behavior. His caretaker was advised of how to obtain a commitment order; she said she filed last week but had yet to hear anything. She was told to contact the Department of Human Services and there was nothing further the sheriff’s office could do. The caretaker said she was still afraid but had somewhere else she could go for the evening.

A Cedar Grove Road man reported a known male had made physical and verbal threats toward his spouse.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
8:13 a.m.
A Highway 128 woman reported her credit card account had been bilked of $374 in fraudulent charges.
Thursday, Aug. 8
6:20 a.m.
Nicki Lee Gibby, 36, of Amity, was arrested at 1968 Sugar Loaf Road for obstructing governmental operations and disorderly conduct. Gibby allegedly phoned 911 to make a false report, then fled to the woods to hide when police showed up.
Sunday, Aug. 11
11:15 a.m.
Vandalism was reported at Shiloh Church of Christ, 37 Deerpark Road, Amity. A church member showed a deputy where someone had done donuts in the gravel parking lot, sending rocks flying into a window and damaging the vinyl siding.
3:54 p.m.
A Gurdon man reported a known male attempted to yank him from the door of his vehicle during a confrontation over his kids trespassing on ATVs. He said he was able to leave, but that the aggressor hurt his arm and tore his shirt.
