The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Saturday, July 20
5:24 p.m.
A Sparkman woman reported finding $347 cash in her purse. She said that on the previous afternoon she had gone to Walmart and Brookshire’s and later discovered a Citizens Bank envelope containing the cash. She said she contacted relatives to inquire whether they placed the money there, but they apparently hadn’t.
Sunday, July 21
5:02 a.m.
Police were dispatched to a residence at the 500 block of South 10th Street for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers were advised that one of the involved parties had just left the scene traveling north on 10th Street. An officer traveling that direction observed the vehicle pull into a parking lot at 10th and Main streets, and a passenger exited saying he had just been involved in a physical altercation with a female. Police took statements from both parties — the male had visible injuries to his face — and arrested Diamond Alazae Ollison, 22, of Malvern, for third-degree domestic battery.
2:45 p.m.
An Arkadelphia woman reported attempts of fraudulent use to her debit card. Her bank was able to reverse the numerous charges made to her account.
6:39 p.m.
A Malvern woman reported a hit-and-run to her vehicle parked at Feaster Trail’s 15th Street trailhead. A witness to the incident relayed to officers that a black female in a black Buick Enclave bearing temporary tags backed into the vehicle, surveyed the damage and drove away south on 15th Street.
Police investigated a residential burglary at the 200 block of North 20th Street. No additional details were available as the public is not allowed to view felony incident reports at the Arkadelphia Police Department.
10:43 p.m.
A nurse at Nightingale Nursing Home, 2701 Twin Rivers Dr., reported witnessing a colleague abuse a resident, grabbing the resident’s wrist and cursing when the resident became combative. The abuse apparently left marks on the resident’s wrist(s), and the staffer was instructed to leave the facility pending an internal investigation.
11:50 p.m.
Police and an ambulance were requested at a Martin Street residence for a welfare check.

5:48 p.m.
A Sparkman man reported being the victim of a physical altercation that took place at Somerset Drive with a known male. The fight apparently stemmed from theft accusations by the aggressor. At the kerfuffle’s conclusion the victim had a twisted ear and a few less hairs on his head than he started the day with. He was advised to contact the prosecuting attorney’s office for affidavit procedures.

1:55 p.m.
Police were summoned to Twin Rivers Health & Rehab, 3021 Twin Rivers Dr., for a resident’s complaint that her bank account had been bilked of an unlisted amount of money since February, possibly by a known individual.

3:03 a.m.
A resident of Walnut Square Apartments, 1010 S. 16th St., reported that she arrived home to find her apartment trashed and three televisions stolen.

Juvenile report: Resisting Arrest
8:20 p.m.
An officer was called to Dollar General, 2727 Caddo St., for a report of fraud. An employee said a female customer used a money card to purchase $950 that was loaded onto a PayPal card, and that a male accomplice had made a similar, unsuccessful attempt. DG’s corporate office later notified the employee that the transaction had been fraudulent. The reporting officer noted no evidence of fraud.
Friday, July 26
8:30 p.m.
Xavier Lashawn Heyward, 18, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Walnut and 29th streets for driving without a license and possession of a controlled substance. The arresting officer conducted a traffic stop after noticing Heyward’s westbound vehicle traveling without headlights.
Saturday, July 27
Police investigated an aggravated assault somewhere on North 10th Street. No further details were available as the Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow public inspection of felony incident reports.
5:39 p.m.
A Flowers Road man reported the theft of a 12-foot utility trailer featuring two metal tool boxes welded near the gate.
Sunday, July 28
4 a.m.
A South 24th Street woman reported that one of her home security cameras captured a known suspect steal another security camera. She said contact with the suspect was attempted at his Pine Court Apartments residence. He wouldn’t come to the door but texted that he left the camera in a bucket in their garage. She checked but did not find it there. She was advised of warrant procedures and her residence was placed on the extra patrol list.
6:59 p.m.
A Curtis man who left his wallet outside Little Caesars reported that an employee of the adjacent tobacco store, Smoker Friendly, phoned him to say his wallet had been recovered. Reunited with the wallet, he found $200 cash missing.

Thursday, July 25
7:59 p.m.
Jacqueline Blaine Deaton Cathey, 30, of Homer, Louisiana, was arrested at 486 Red Hill Road for third-degree domestic battery following deputies’ response to a 911 call of a physical altercation at that address. A male victim suffered bite marks to his hand.
