Henderson State fifth-year senior golfer Allie Bianchi put the final bow on one of the most decorated careers in Reddie Athletics and Great American Conference history on Thursday afternoon when she was named the 2023-24 GAC Female Athlete of the Year.
Bianchi, who was the GAC’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2021, 2022 and 2023, is the first student-athlete in the history of the conference to win four different end-of-the-year awards.
In her final season of eligibility, Bianchi capped off her terrific tenure as a Reddie with the best year of her individual career. She was a 2024 WGCA First Team All-American, the GAC Female Golfer of the Year, the GAC Tournament Individual Champion and the NCAA Elite 90 Award winner for women’s golf as she helped lead the Reddies to their fourth-consecutive league title, third-straight Central Region championship, and third NCAA Division II National Championships bid in as many years.
During her five seasons in Arkadelphia, Bianchi built up a war chest of accomplishments both on and off the golf course. She is a two-time WGCA All-American, a three-time CSC Academic All-American, a four-time All-GAC honoree, a four-time WGCA All-American Scholar, a three-time NCAA Elite 90 Award finalist, and has been Henderson State’s NCAA Woman of the Year nominee three times. She won the India Norman Award this spring, which is the highest award that can be given by the Henderson State Athletics department to a female student-athlete.
In addition to her personal accolades, Bianchi’s time with the Reddies has coincided with the most successful stretch for any Henderson State athletic program in the NCAA era. In her five collegiate seasons, the women’s golf team won 23 tournament titles, including seven combined GAC and Central Region championships. The Reddies were National Semifinalists in 2023 and Quarterfinalists this spring after advancing to the match play portion of the NCAA DII Championships in back-to-back years.
Bianchi, who graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2022, received her MBA with a concentration in Data Science from Henderson State in May of 2024. She held a perfect 4.0 GPA through the duration of both degree programs.
The native of Allen, Texas, intends to pursue her dream of playing professional golf.
