The Hope City Board met for a special called meeting on Friday, June 28, 2024. The main topic of the meeting was the alteration of a resolution passed last week concerning the hospital in Hope.
The previous resolution made funds available for the payment of salaries. The resolution was altered in order to allow for the purchase and maintenance of the hospital.
Medical Properties Trust, the current owner of the property, has accepted an offer on the hospital to be purchased jointly by the City of Hope and Hempstead County.
