Felony Friday: June 7, 2024

This is a roundup of felony charges filed between June 3-7, 2024, by the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office. Some defendants may also have misdemeanor charges against them, but they are not included here. The following names and charges, which are contained within public documents, are gathered from online court records available through ARCourts. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Here’s a rundown of felony cases filed this week:

State vs. Jayden Paul Ring. Pandering/Possessing Material Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child. Class C felony. Prosecutor: Gina White. Defense: Clinton DeWitt. An indictment by Sgt. Sherry Cleek of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office accuses Ring, 19, of being in possession of multiple digital photos and videos of juvenile females engaging in masturbation and lewd conduct. Ring, of Caddo Valley, began active supervision with Probation and Parole in February 2024. The probation sentence was for a 2023 charge of Residential Burglary. Two days after being placed on supervised probation, Ring’s probation officer advised Cleek of child pornography on Ring’s phone, and a search warrant was obtained for that phone. Arkansas State Police performed a phone analysis and found the material.

State vs. Ramon Antowan Foster Sr. Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance (between 4 ounces – 25 pounds) With Purpose to Deliver. Class C felony. Prosecutor: Dan Turner. Defense: Clinton Mathis. Foster, 44, of Toledo, Ohio, was arrested on May 22, 2024, following a traffic stop on Interstate 30 in which an Arkansas State Police trooper recovered 4-5 pounds of marijuana. Trooper Jordan Drake signed over five confiscated vacuum-sealed bags to Group 6 Narcotics Agent Josh Waldrum. According to an affidavit, Foster said he had flown from Toledo to Mesquite, Texas, but decided to drive back home.

State vs. Patrick Wayne Weisse. Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member. Class D felony. Prosecutor: Gina White. Defense: Not listed. Weisse, 31, of Arkadelphia, is accused in an April 2024 domestic battering. An affidavit states that Weisse sat on the victim’s chest as he beat and strangled the victim, then held a pair of scissors to the victim’s neck and threatened death. Weisse is also accused of taking the victim’s cell phone and kept the victim from leaving the home for the better part of two weeks. The victim was finally able to report the beating and provide photo evidence to the Arkadelphia Police Department.

State vs. Chad Taurean Dixon. Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member. Class D felony. Prosecutor: Gina White. Defense: Clinton DeWitt. Dixon, 38, was arrested when Clark County Deputy Justin Tucker responded to his residence for a report of domestic battering. Dixon is accused of striking the victim in the face and threatening to shoot the victim. The affidavit notes that Dixon has a history of domestic battery.

State vs. Kenneth Wayne Williams. Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member. Class D felony. Prosecutor: Gina White. Defense: Not listed. Williams, 64, allegedly entered a known couple’s Darby Road residence on May 1, 2024, made forcible entry into their bedroom and and confronted the male about money. Informed that no money was to be had, Williams allegedly swung an axe handle toward the man’s head, but the victim was able to block it with his forearm, breaking the axe handle in the process. Williams then fled the scene. An Arkansas State Police trooper later initiated a traffic stop and made an arrest. A broken axe handle was located in the front passenger seat. An affidavit notes that Williams has a “very lengthy” criminal history that includes “multiple” violent crimes against people.
