Clark County Retired Teachers gave two scholarships to active teachers. They were given the Michael Ankton who teaches Social Studies in Arkadelphia along with other community activities and Patsy Bonds who is a Gurdon Special Education teacher. She wasn’t able to attend the meeting.
Wanda O’Quinn led the group in a Memorial Service for three of CCRTA’s members who most recently passed away. They were Earnestine Clark, Lydia Evanston, and Leva Middleton.
CCRTA will again sponsor the Summer Cereal Drive. This year the collection will be June 8 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in front of Brookshire’s. All the cereal will stay in Clark County, so bring as much as possible to help feed the children/families while they’re out for the summer.
