The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Monday, May 20
7:48 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence at the 1700 block of Walnut Street, where a man reported his girlfriend vandalized his vehicle.

8:40 a.m.
The owner of Country Car Wash, 2502 Country Club Road, reported a customer with a camper shell caused $500 worth of damage to a tin at the top of a bay entrance. Police were shown video surveillance of the incident.

9:09 a.m.
Officers responded to Optimum, 2505 Pine St., for a report of an unruly customer. The customer was removed from the property and instructed not to return lest he face arrest for criminal trespass.

1:20 p.m.
A Mill Creek Loop woman reported the theft of $431 from her bank account.

6:40 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Circle K and followed the reporting person to Walnut Square Apartments for a reported theft of a vehicle. The complaining party was advised of civil claims procedures to determine ownership of the vehicle.

Tuesday, May 21
6:15 a.m.
A Clay Street man showed officers home security footage of a vehicle occupied by three males that pulled into his driveway at about midnight. At least one of the men went to the back of the residence and likely opened a window. Nothing was reported stolen.

7:44 a.m.
Police were summoned to a residence at the 300 block of South 12th Street for a complaint of someone refusing to leave. Officers were able to get the unwelcome guest to get.

2:58 p.m.
Officers were requested at RP Detail, 143 N. 16th St., for a complaint of terroristic threatening by a known male. Police learned by making contact with the suspect that both parties had been making threats toward each other.

3:45 p.m.
Management at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation reported two former employees failed to return company-owned cell phones.

11:50 p.m.
A South 16th Street resident reported the theft of a John Deere riding lawnmower missing a back tire/wheel. Police were made aware of a pair of men who had shown interest in acquiring the equipment.

Wednesday, May 22

Thursday, May 23
Juvenile: Bullying, Peake Elementary School

6:03 p.m.
A Phillips Street woman reported the theft of a weed trimmer, and that the thief struck while she and her family were outside. Police were ultimately able to recover the weed trimmer, which had a matching serial number to the one reported stolen. Paul Andrew Owens, 52, the passenger of a vehicle seen at the location, was arrested for an unrelated warrant.

Friday, May 24
9:29 a.m.
A Walnut Street woman reported being the target of harassing phone calls.

10 a.m.
An employee of Lucky Liquor, 3002 Pine St., reported an elderly black male made harassing and threatening comments toward her. Police made contact with the suspect, who was advised not to return to the establishment lest he wish to be arrested for criminal trespassing.

8:10 p.m.
Jasmine Breuana Jones, 24, was arrested at an unlisted location during a traffic stop for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property. Jones was named as a suspect of theft at Celebrations Fine Wine & Spirits, 1210 N. 10th St., where the manager reported the theft of a bottle pourer.

Saturday, May 25
2:10 p.m.
An officer was requested at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation for a report that a CNA had used physical force to remove a resident from a bed. The resident didn’t wish to pursue charges, and police found no signs of malicious treatment.

7:11 p.m.
Jewel Alexander Binns, 30, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 1716 Walnut St. for disorderly conduct, as he apparently was unable to remain civil during a request for officers to conduct a civil standby at the residence.

9 p.m.
A’tavia Sonnier, 19, and Citiva Reid, 21, were arrested at 14th and Phillips streets. Police were called to the area for a disturbance over house keys. Sonnier was arrested for third-degree domestic battery, and Reid was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental operations.

11:33 p.m.
A woman reported the theft of her iPhone, which she had left on the counter at Tiger Mart and returned soon after to discover it was gone. An officer requested surveillance footage at the convenience station but was told it wasn’t immediately available.

Sunday, May 26
7:18 a.m.
Smelling the odor of natural gas and hearing a hiss, an officer patrolling North 23rd Street discovered where a motorist had run over a gas main. The fire department and utility company was called to shut off the gas.

9:30 a.m.
Johnny Russey, 41, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 504 S. 10th St. for third-degree domestic battery and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Russey’s arrest followed police response to a domestic disturbance with a female.

8:55 p.m.
A clerk at Dollar Tree, 112 W.P. Malone Dr., reported a black female asked to purchase a gift card and load $499 onto it. Requesting a second card with the same amount, the suspect left the store with the first card before completing her end of the transaction, defrauding the store of the $499.
