Hall of Heroes, Mid-America Science Museum’s new traveling exhibit, opens to the public on Saturday, May 25th. Located in the museum’s Hall of Wonder, the exhibit explores the history and science of superheroes through interactive programming, movie props, replicas, and rare artifacts from past and present major motion pictures and television shows.
“This is a unique opportunity for visitors to discover the hero within themselves and to explore the timeless ideals of courage, resilience, and selflessness,” said Diane LaFollette, Mid-America Science Museum’s CEO. “The exhibit offers a fascinating exploration of the history and evolution of heroes in popular culture. It’s a fun and educational adventure for superhero fans of all ages.”
Presented by Visit Hot Springs with additional support from Allen Tillery and Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort, Hall of Heroes showcases a full-scale “half” replica of the iconic 1960’s Barris Kustoms’ Batmobile. The exhibit also features an “Identification Station,” where guests will choose one of five superpower disciplines: “Powers of the Body,” “Powers of the Mind,” “Mastery,” “Gadgets,” and the “Elements.” Throughout the exhibit, visitors can explore, learn, and test their skills at interactive stations tailored to their chosen discipline.
Running until Saturday, August 27, Hall of Heroes is free for members and included with general admission to the museum. Adults are $12 and children ages 3 to 12 are $10. Seniors aged 65 and older, teachers, and military are $11. The museum’s hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays, 1 PM to 5 PM.
