John Wayne McClure, age 84, of Gurdon, Arkansas passed away on March 18, 2024.
Mr. McClure was born on April 25, 1939 in Sparkman, Arkansas to his parents John and Gertrude McClure. He was a mechanic, loved walking, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was also a faithful member of the Beech Street Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sammie McClure; and six siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, David McClure, Susan Hurst; one grandchild, Jenna Hurst McCorkel (Spencer); two great grandchildren, Karis McCorkel, Heidi McCorkel; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. David Graves officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
