The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Feb. 26
Juvenile: Information only for missing/runaway juvenile
8 p.m.
A Lucky Liquor manager reported a shoplifter made a $200 haul in one swift visit, stashing three half-gallon-sized bottles of booze into his breeches. The suspect, identified as a black male, drove away in a white Ford F-150 headed west on Pine Street. His description matched that of a suspect accused of thefts from “multiple” liquor stores of late. Though no incident is on file at the police department, Celebrations had posted surveillance photos of a thief near its entrance. Wednesday, Feb. 28
Police investigated a felony aggravated assault on a family/household member at the 2500 block of Country Club Road. No details were included in a report as felony cases are not available for public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department. Records at the Clark County Detention Center indicate that an arrest was made (read more under the Arrests in Clark County heading).
12:59 p.m.
A female reported getting harassing texts and calls from her ex-boyfriend.
7 p.m.
Teresa Rena Arnold, 52, of Arkadelphia, was arrested for shoplifting $159 worth of miscellaneous merchandise from Walmart. The store’s loss prevention officer reported that Arnold, whose occupation is listed as management at the supermarket, left the store with a cart full of merchandise and got into a van that dropped her off at the strip mall across the street. An officer went to that location and retrieved Arnold for further investigation. She was also booked on charges of obstructing governmental operations and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, Feb. 29
8:55 a.m.
Officers were summoned to the Arkadelphia Housing Authority office, 670 S. 6th St., for a dispute-turned-verbal-altercation between the property manager and a recently evicted tenant who was miffed because she didn’t get her deposit back.
10:25 p.m.
Jon Marc Pinkerton, 20, of Beebe, was arrested near the junction of North 10th Street and Elrod Boulevard for DWI, minor in possession of possession of an altered ID. Pinkerton’s arrest followed police response to a single-vehicle accident at that location.

9 a.m.
A Caddo Street man reported someone, likely a known suspect, swiped him of $476 in fraudulent debit/credit card transactions.

Sunday, March 3
12:10 a.m.
A Pecan Street man phoned police to say he witnessed his girlfriend stash a small bag of methamphetamine between a mattress and wall. The female drove away from the scene. Police arrived to confiscate the dope, and later pulled the woman over in a traffic stop. No further action was taken.
Police investigated a shoplifting of merchandise valued between $1,000-$5,000 at Walmart. No details were included in the report as felony cases are not available for public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department.
11:15 p.m.
A Country Club Road man reported his ex-girlfriend kicked in his door and stole his car keys. Police went to the female’s residence on 10th Street and spoke with a roommate, who phoned her to return the keys. The female’s response was that she only took her own belongings from the man’s residence.

Tuesday, Feb. 27
6:32 p.m.
A deputy investigated a private property hit-and-run at Southfork Truck Stop, 2066 Highway 53, Gurdon.
Thursday, Feb. 29
Dawon Charles Jackson, 54, of Hope, was arrested at Baptist Health Medical Center for theft of property, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Deputies and Gurdon marshals were summoned to Little Mo’s Liquor for a shoplifting in progress. Clerks at the store told marshals that the shoplifter had driven away after stuffing a fifth of tequila inside his shirt. Marshals located the suspect, later identified as Jackson, at or near Gurdon High School. A deputy’s account of the incident does not indicate what events transpired after contact was made with Jackson, but he was transported from the scene to BHMC to be treated for pepper spray deployed by Gurdon marshals.
