Real Estate: 11 Clark County properties change hands

Clark County real estate transactions recorded Jan. 26 through Feb. 8, 2024, having a value of $100,000 or greater. Information is gathered from public records held by the Clark County Circuit Clerk, online real estate records via actdatascout.com and the Arkansas Secretary of State. The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description available, and does not withhold names.

Topping this round of real estate transactions is the sale of a 1,952-SF brick home and 7.09 acres South Wood Road, southeast of the overpass at Highway 26 and Interstate 30. For $362,340 Brenda Davis sold the property to John Witherington.

For $220,000 Shane and Melissa Smith bought a 2,2025-SF brick home and 10 acres on Moon Valley Road, in the Smithton community north of Gurdon. Previous owners Eric and Brandie McCuistion bought the property in 2017 for $138,000.

Beech Street Baptist Church sold a brick home on the 1100 block of Crayton Street, Gurdon, to James and Alice Mosley for $215,000. There are no details online offering the measurements of the home.

Kadin Rhodes purchased a 1,596-SF frame siding home with a 448-SF garage located on an adjacent lot at the 1700 block of East Walnut Street/Bowen Hill Road, Gurdon, for $200,000. Christopher and Charlotte Watson bought the property in August 2023 for $40,000.

For $195,000 Patrick McNamara bought a 1804-SF brick home and 2.35 acres on Deceiper Hill Road. Alvie Brewer was the previous owner, having purchased it in 2022 for $190,000.

The Ross Foundation purchased 95 acres of timber north of Center Point Road and west of Interstate 30 for $187,250. Previous owners were Carol Jo Atkinson, et al. The transaction was done by way of general warranty deed.

Bobby and Jimmie Rook sold their 1,600-SF brick home on Evonshire, Arkadelphia, to Utana Newborn for $185,350.

For $163,000 Michael and Terese Cox bought a 1,664-SF frame siding house and five adjacent lots at the 1600 block of Evans Street, Arkadelphia. Previous owners were the Wendell Evanson Revocable Trust and Lydia Evanson Revocable Trust.

O’Shaneia Nelson purchased a 1,232-SF frame siding home at the 1800 block of Sylvia Street, Arkadelphia, for $132,300. Previous owner Holly Boyette bought the property in 2010 for $92,000.

A 1,440-SF frame siding home on 16,98 acres north of Shiloh Road’s intersection with Rabbit Hill Road, in the Shiloh community, was acquired by Noe and Edel Moreno. The $120,000 transaction was done by way of a fiduciary deed. Sellers were Phillip Freeman, deceased, and Elaine Kneebone, personal representative.

For $100,000 Patrick Vines and others of the Vines surname collectively purchased a 3,675-SF warehouse and 723-SF office on Nutt Street in Amity. Owned previously by the Glenwood-based Vine Bros Land LLC, led by Richard Vines, the land transaction was done by way of corporate warranty deed.
