The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Wednesday, Dec. 6
2:45 p.m.
Bryson Drake Fletcher, 18, of Amity, was cited at Walmart for theft of property following a complaint from the store’s loss prevention officer of a shoplifter who attempted to leave with $578 worth of merchandise.
Police investigated a residential burglary at Ashbury Court.
Thursday, Dec. 7
2:33 p.m.
The Arkadelphia Housing Authority filed a complaint of an unruly relative residing with a tenant. Officers advised of legal procedures to have the person banned.
9:39 p.m.
Shelly Marie Struck, 51, was arrested at 106 N. 15th St. for public intoxication. Officers were summoned there for a complaint of threats Struck allegedly made toward roommates in the residence.
Friday, Dec. 8
A juvenile was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
2:49 p.m.
Shelly Marie Struck, 51, was arrested at 106 N. 15th St. for assault on a household member. A roommate phoned police to report Struck was making threats. While officers were on scene a sheriff’s deputy arrived to serve Struck with a protection order requiring her to stay away from another roommate. Struck was also charged with refusal to submit to arrest as she reportedly made it difficult for officers to make the arrest.
6:23 p.m.
An officer working an event in downtown discovered a vehicle that had struck a barricade at 7th and Crittenden streets. The driver said he was unable to see the barricade, which had been placed there to detour traffic.
Saturday, Dec. 9
1:10 p.m.
A hit-and-run accident was reported at Winner’s Circle, 104 N. 10th St. The complaining party provided police with the suspect’s license plate number, which was registered to a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup owned by a Hot Springs resident.
6:10 p.m.
An employee of Circle K, 3005 Pine St., reported a customer stole her wallet, which she’d left on the counter. Surveillance footage identified the suspect as a female wearing a “colorful shirt with a doodle dog of some sort.” Thirty minutes later officers were summoned to Country Car Wash, on Country Club Road, for a complaint of erratic behavior from a female. The suspect in that complaint matched the description of the woman in the video. Asked about the stolen wallet, she surrendered it, and it was returned to its owner with nothing reported missing. No arrest was made.

A juvenile was arrested for minor in possession.

A deputy responded to a Middleton Road residence for a domestic disturbance involving a juvenile.
Friday, Dec. 8
11:03 a.m.
A Cable Road, Amity man reported the theft of an iPhone, likely by a known suspect previously involved in a domestic disturbance at the residence.
