In the past week, 17 additional Arkansas counties have been placed under burn bans, bringing the total to 27.
Clark County’s southeastern neighbor, Dallas County, has been added in recent days. Clark County remains free of a burn ban as of Tuesday morning.

The danger for wildfires is listed as moderate for all but a few counties in extreme northeastern Arkansas.
As of Wednesday morning, other Southwest Arkansas counties under a burn ban were Howard, Sevier, Hempstead, Little River, Miller, Lafayette, Columbia, Nevada and Ouachita.
