One person was killed and another injured Saturday in Murfreesboro when another driver turned in front of their Harley Davidson motorcycle.
According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary, a southbound Toyota turned into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson on Highway 27 near Stewart Road in Murfreesboro. The motorcyclist tried to avoid the collision, striking the front of the Toyota in the process.
Tracy Watts, 52, of Delight, was killed in the accident. She was a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver, Rex Watts, 63, was taken to CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs for treatment to unlisted injuries.
The state police report did not identify the driver of the Toyota.
The collision happened at 6:09 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, under clear skies and on dry roads, according to Trooper Tate Ledbetter, who investigated the accident.
