The City of Arkadelphia issued 17 building permits with an estimated construction value of $1,951,421 for the month of June 2023. The figure is significantly higher than May construction work, which totaled $180,822 from 14 permits. For the same period in 2022, the city issued 23 permits totaling $1,004,359 in estimated construction work.
Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department available for public inspection under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. Here’s a rundown of permits filed in June 2023:
Wagner Construction was hired to remodel a commercial building at 1624 Pine St. from a hair salon to an urgent care clinic owned by the Jonesboro-based AMC UC Real Estate, which is registered to Dr. Bradley Bibb. The construction comes with an estimated price tag of $252,544. AMC UC also paid Little Rock Sign Co. $16,292 for new channel letters and pill cabinet on building/replace faces and cabinet in existing monument sign.
Three homes are going up in the new North Ridge Estates subdivision off of Gorman Loop. In June, three building permits were filed with an estimated construction value of more than $1.5 million in real estate in that subdivision alone. The Benton-based K Smith Building Co. is set to erect a 3,765-SF single-family dwelling at 100 Shepherd Loop (estimated construction value of $529,000), a 4,156-SF single-family dwelling at 109 Shepherd Loop (estimated construction value of $493,450) and another single-family dwelling home at 130 Shepherd Loop (estimated construction value of $477,850). Among the builders are NCG Investments, registered to Nicky Goff, and Hunt Investments, registered to Lisa and David Hunt.
Craft Properties was hired to tear off and re-shingle a roof at 2003 Caddo St. Juan Monrique paid an estimated $5,000 for the job.
Pinnacle Signs LLC of North Little Rock was hired to install a 99.5”x87.5” digital sign at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1600 Caddo St. The work cost an estimated $30,000.
Pinnacle Signs also installed a wall sign at Mary & Martha’s Florist & Gifts, 800 Clinton St., for an estimated total of $10,000.
Walker Roofing LLC was hired to tear off and re-shingle the roof of a single-family dwelling at 510 Crawford St. Tom Calhoun and Scott Tatman paid an estimated $5,900 for the job.
Patino Roofing of Hot Springs was hired to tear off and re-shingle the roof and to replace 300-SF of decking on a single-family dwelling at 722 N. 15th St. Sandra Capps paid an estimated $8,000 for the work.
Keith’s Roofing was hired to tear off and re-shingle a roof at 104 Aspen Cove. Lori Engman paid an estimated $16,000 for the job.
Another roof job at 107 Aspen Cove, owned by Nathan and Kaila Murphy, grossed $18,500 for Keith’s Roofing.
Group Living Inc. paid Brian Bridges Roofing an estimated $17,000 to tear off and re-shingle three multi-family dwellings at 618 S. 7th St.
Palmer’s Roofing was hired to tear off and re-shingle the roof of a single-family dwelling at 1903 Sylvia St., owned by Taylor King, who paid an estimated $9,000 for the job.
Fastrac Energy Services installed 13 solar panels on a residence at 2809 Evonshire Dr. Lori and Brandon Hanlon are paying $31,193 for the panels.
Fastrac also installed 14 solar panels on a residence at 2724 Evonshire Dr. Aaron Testa is paying $31,692 for the panels.
Seale Construction was hired to demolish 500 square feet in a commercial office space owned by Wright & Seale Properties at 205 N. 26th St. Special conditions note that the permit is only good for the demolition.
