The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Aug. 21
1:01 a.m.
Officers shut down a large party of some 300-plus people at a business on the 2000 block of Pine Street after receiving numerous complaints of noise and parking violations. As party-goers were leaving the area, five to six gunshots rang out, but police were unable to determine who fired the shots or where they came from.
8:41 a.m.
A Lark Place woman reported watching as two known suspects vandalized and damaged her parked car.
11:45 a.m.
Vandalism to a coin-operated vacuum cleaner was reported at a car wash. Investigating officers were able to get the suspect’s license plate number from security footage.
12:30 p.m.
Employees at a Pine Street restaurant reported someone making numerous phone calls to harass an employee.
Police opened a felony case of possession of a controlled substance.
8:55 p.m.
A Carpenter Hill Apartments woman reported someone, likely a known suspect, broke into her apartment.
Saturday, Aug. 20
2:11 p.m.
Theft of a bicycle was reported at the 600 block of South 6th Street.
3:20 p.m.
A KFC employee reported her phone was stolen, possibly by a customer, when she left it unsupervised to do an errand in the back of the restaurant.
10:11 p.m.
A Little Rock man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at the 1400 block of Hunter Street.
Friday, Aug. 19
9 a.m.
Officers responded to a North 20th Street residence for a report of a possible break-in. There were no signs of forced entry.

A Benny Road man reported a neighbor’s dogs had been killing his chickens.
Arrests in Clark County
Saturday, Aug. 20
Stacy Todd Bearden, 46, was arrested by Arkansas State Police for driving while intoxicated, open container, speeding and refusal to submit.
Sunday, Aug. 21
Victor Hugo Velasquez, 54, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.
Fredrick Anderson, 47, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.
