Deputies responded to a residence at the 200 block of Deceipher Hill Road for a physical altercation involving two people “hitting each other with sticks” over a four-hour period.

Man dies after accidental shooting
The victim was 68-year-old David Allan Smith, who succumbed to a gunshot wound to his chest Sunday morning at the Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia emergency room. Authorities are treating the shooting as an accident.
