Donations were taken for the Donna and Percy Malone Child Safety Center. Many requested items and $95 were presented to the center to be used to ease the pain of troubled children.

Because of this center and others like it, a child who has experienced unimaginable trauma doesn’t have to share their horrific story repeatedly with to police, doctors, lawyers and therapists.

Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will present the Ouachita Singers and Concert Choir in concert Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center, 409 Ouachita St. The performance, featuring both choirs collaborating on composer John Rutter’s masterwork, “Requiem,” is free and open to the public.
