The following incidents were gathered from reports filed July 20-26, 2026, at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested or cited individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, July 20
9:50 a.m.
Officers were called to Ouachita Village Apartments, 11 Cypress Court, for a complaint of a trespasser who, when confronted, walked away toward Pine Plaza. Police made contact with the trespasser and detained him at the rear of Brookshire’s. No arrest was made, but police kept several items, which they found on his person and suspect to be stolen property.

Tuesday, July 21
7:50 a.m.
Officers were called to the home of a registered sex offender to investigate a complaint that he had downloaded child pornography onto his computer. Police reviewed the photos in question and determined no minors were depicted in the porn.
4:11 p.m.
Responding to a 911 call from a home at the 1600 block of Main Street, officers heard complaints that 64-year-old Tammye Jones-Tidwell had attacked one of the residents of the home and made verbal death threats during the interaction. Taking statements from the female victim and two other residents, as well as documenting physical injuries to the female, Tidwell was arrested for domestic battery and terroristic threatening.
7:05 p.m.
Police were called to Walmart for a store complaint of a tag-swapping shoplifter. Julius Lamar Giles, 34, of Prescott, was arrested for theft of property.
8:55 p.m.
A server at 67 Grill, 629 Main St., reported the theft of her cell phone and tip money by a female who walked into the restaurant claiming to be homeless. The suspect, ultimately identified as 26-year-old Khadeidra Monae Gilbert, asked the waitress for a glass of water, snatched the items as she fetched the water, then made a quick exit. Soon discovering her server book and phone missing, the waitress left her post and drove around in search of the thief, locating Gilbert with a male companion on Crittenden Street near the county jail. Confronting Gilbert led nowhere, so the waitress turned to police for help, giving them a detailed description of the suspect and noting that she could easily identify her because the two once worked together at Sonic. Officers canvassed the area fruitlessly. The following day, Gilbert was sighted between Walmart and McDonald’s. Gilbert said she had taken an unattended phone while at 67 Grill, but that a male friend had since deposited it into the phone-for-cash kiosk in Walmart’s foyer. Gilbert was arrested for theft of property and banned for life from Walmart properties. Asset protection identified the male suspect, but no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

Wednesday, July 22
6:09 p.m.
Officers were called to a residence at the 1500 block of Gresham Street for a report of vandalism. The property owners relayed that they had recently bought the home at auction, and that the tenants had asked to remove some items from the home. Though no permission was given, the tenants were suspected of removing exterior and interior doors, breaking windows, and taking wiring from the water heater and fuse box. Two hours later police were notified that one of the tenants had returned to the property. Officers made contact with her there, learning that she was under the impression it was OK for personal items to be removed, further saying the doors had been taken down to move couches and the windows were already broken. She was advised that a civil standby would need to be scheduled to remove additional property, and she left without incident.
Thursday, July 23
1:30 a.m.
A set of keys located near 1st and Main streets were turned in and placed in lost and found.
3 p.m.
A 6th Street woman reported losing her driver’s license.
9:30 p.m.
Police responded to Robin Lane for a domestic dispute over ownership of a cell phone and allegations of a stolen debit card with fraudulent transactions made. The parties separated.
Friday, July 24
7 p.m.
The landlord of Arkansas Motel, 807 Highway 67 South, reported that a tenant attacked him as he served a notice to vacate form. The landlord said he requested an officer’s presence for the interaction, eventually serving the form himself when an officer never showed up. Making entry with his key, the tenant pushed the door back in an attempt to keep him from entering. She followed him out as he walked away, reportedly making threats before striking him in the face. Officers observed redness on his face but could not ascertain whether the tenant had struck him. He was advised of warrant procedures, as well as an alternative way to serve a notice-to-vacate order. It was noted in the report that the landlord’s initial request for assistance was broadcast over the sheriff’s office radio frequency.
Saturday, July 25
2:45 p.m.
A Magnolia woman reported vandalism to her vehicle parked at Elliston Place Apartments, 222 N. 20th St.

7:20 p.m.
A McDonald’s employee reported being harassed by known suspects.
7:30 p.m.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at Creekwood Apartments, 1035 Village Dr. The male caller advised that the female suspect left the residence and vandalized his vehicle.
