Monday, May 11
8:24 a.m.
A Gresham Street couple reported a known male made death threats toward them. They were advised to call police should the person return.
2:40 p.m.
Police investigated the possible theft of a motor vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Malibu, from the South 10th Street residence of a recently deceased person. Neighbors said they’d seen two known subjects loading the property onto a trailer. Police located the vehicle on a trailer at Cutler Street and made contact with the men who hauled the car, learning that one’s sister reportedly bought the vehicle, showing an officer the bill of sale bearing her name. A phone call was made to the reported buyer, whose name and address had negative results in a crime database. She was advised to meet officers at the police station, but never showed.
Tuesday, May 12
12:57 p.m.
Dispatchers advised of a shoplifter who left Road Runner, 3111 Pine St., with $36 worth of Chelada beer. An officer located a suspect matching the given description at the entrance to Atwoods. The suspect, identified as Cory Christopher Kirksey, 44, of Arkadelphia, admitted to the theft. The beer was returned to the station, and Kirksey was arrested for theft of property.
Wednesday, May 13
3:15 p.m.
A woman complained that someone swapped out her prescription Hydrocodone with Tylenol.

3:32 p.m.
Officers were called to a residence at the 1000 block of Clay Street, where a man reported a known male tried forcing entry into his home. Shoved back from the threshold, the suspect reportedly slapped the complainant across the face and fled on foot.
5:04 p.m.
A female told police that she had been the victim of domestic violence the previous week, showing physical injuries and naming the male suspect. She was given a Laura’s Card and referred to the domestic violence coordinator.

3:30 p.m.
A woman reported being the victim of harassment by her estranged husband.
Sunday, May 17
Felony incident still under investigation: 1st-degree battery, 2200 block of Twin Rivers Drive
12:35 p.m.
Officers were called to Road Runner for a complaint of a shoplifter who took a phone charger and drove away westbound on Pine Street. The theft was unsolved at the time the report was completed.

Thursday, May 14
11:10 p.m.
A Jack Mountain fisherman reported the theft of his Yeti cooler from the bed of his pickup truck, parked at the Spillway boat ramp. The thief tampered with the vehicle’s windshield wipers and side mirrors, and left a note expressing thanks for the ice chest and disdain for the complainant’s choice in vehicle.
