In the past two weeks, Shields Wood Products Inc. sold its acreage on Arkansas Highway 51 to Kentucky Forest Properties LLC of London, Kentucky. The $180,000 transaction may not reflect the sawmill equipment on the property. Shields shuttered its operation in the summer of 2025.
The real estate transaction bringing in the largest sum of money was the $452,000 sale of a property at the 300 block of Central Road. Jesse Bowden of Hot Springs, et al, sold the approximately 108 acres containing a 1,865-SF brick home to Herbert Kiembrock, of Amagansett, New York.
In a $375,000 deal, Cassandra Branson and Edgar Davis II bought a 3,164-SF brick home on Montclair Circle, Arkadelphia. Sellers are Kevin and Tonya Spence, of Camden. The Spences bought the place in 2022 for $407,000.
At the 300 block of Helms Road, a 1,775-SF home on 3.5 acres sold for $317,500 to Garrett Tarbet and Hannah Wingfield. Sellers are Angelita Batson, of Spokane Valley, Washington. Batson bought the property in 2023 for $260,000.
In Arkadelphia, Paul and Ashley White, et al, sold a 1,736-SF brick home on Lee Street for $235,000. Buyer is Ian Manning. The Whites bought the place in 2025 for $131,000.
For $224,500 Juanita Curry sold a 2,653-SF brick home at the 2000 block of Elaine Circle, Arkadelphia. Buyers are Linda and William Cottrell, of North Little Rock.
The taxpayer-funded Economic Development Corp. of Clark County bought a little over 5 acres containing a 2,400-SF warehouse (The Barn) at 1595 N. Elm St., Gurdon. Price was $200,000. Sellers are Sherman and Rhonda Whittle, of Gurdon.
67 Grill is now the owner of 629 Main St. in downtown Arkadelphia. In a $200,000 deal, Arkadelphia 67 Grill LLC bought the 5,368-SF property from Gary and Sandra Linn, of Fayetteville. Arkadelphia 67 Grill is registered to Heidi Doran of Donaldson.
For $200,000 Samuel Perryman, of Benton, bought a 1,800-SF mobile home at the 500 block of Stevenson Road, north of Gurdon. The 18-acre property contains several outbuildings. Seller is David Bair, of North Little Rock.
In Amity, Blake Swain bought a 2,158-SF brick home and 10 acres at the 1400 block of Calvin Road for $181,500. Sellers are Jackie and Nancy Runyan.
Frank Bowman bought a 1,363-SF brick home and 2 acres on Unity Road for $170,000. Sellers are Teresa Strother, of Bismarck, and Terry Dixon, et al.
Kira Accor bought a 1,593-SF brick home at the 900 block of East Pine Street, Gurdon, for $154,500. Sellers are Christian and McKenzie Bacallao, of Slocomb, Alabama. The Bacallaos bought the place in 2020 for $76,000.
Rounding out the past two weeks of Clark County real estate deals is the $140,000 sale of 29 acres containing mixed timber and pasture between Arkansas Highway 51 and the North Boat Ditch, near Okolona. Sellers are Jonathan and Sara Kelly, of Okolona, and buyers are Matthew and Amanda McElhannon, of Bismarck.
