Recent rainfall across Arkansas has eliminated wildfire danger in all but about 15 counties in the north-central and northeastern corner of the state.
As of Thursday afternoon, March 12, the latest wildfire and burn ban map from the Arkansas Division of Forestry showed only Phillips County in far eastern Arkansas as still under a burn ban.
About 80% of the state had returned to a Low risk for wildfire.
The burn ban for Clark County was lifted Monday morning, March 9, as showers and thunderstorms swept across the state’s southwestern region.
