At around noon Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, a portion of the Arkadelphia Bypass is scheduled to open to motorists, city officials announced on Facebook.
The stretch of Professional Park Drive from West Pine Exxon to Executive Circle will be accessible via the bypass, as will Fairfield Inn & Suits and Red Hill Road. Pine Street intersects the bypass between the AT&T store and Arkadelphia Physical Therapy to the north and Cox Mobile Manor to the south.
The traffic light at Professional Park Drive will be switched off, and the new light at AT&T will be switched on.
The move was initially scheduled for Wednesday, but inclement weather forced the Arkansas Department of Transportation to postpone the switch.
The entire Bypass is not yet open. There is still much work to be done on the North 10th Street leg of the project from where the three-lane ends at Henderson State University south to where it will meet US Highway 67.
