Real Estate: Former Sears building sells to Malone

Clark County real estate transactions recorded Dec. 23, 2025, through Jan. 8, 2026, having a value of $100,000 or greater. Information is gathered from public records held by the Clark County Circuit Clerk’s Office, online real estate records via actdatascout.com and the Arkansas Secretary of State. The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description when available, and does not withhold names. A variety of factors, including improvements made to a home or property, are considered in real estate prices that may increase from when the seller bought the property.

The real estate transaction bringing in the largest sum of money in the past two weeks is the $420,000 sale of the former Sears storefront at 2919 Pine St., Arkadelphia. Percy Malone’s Malone Real Estate LLC bought the 7,168-SF space from Linda Calhoun who, along with her now late husband James, bought the property in 2003 for $400,000.

A 2,652-SF home on Apple Blossom Drive in Arkadelphia’s Magnolia Estates sold for $362,500. Buyers Michael and Meredith Armstrong bought the place from Edwin and Penny Medley, of Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Medleys bought the property in $209,000.

Cynthia McDill sold a 2,165-SF brick home at the 200 block of North Park Drive, Arkadelphia, to Austin Garcia for $312,000. McDill bought the place in 2018 for $206,000.

A 3,179-SF brick home on Arkadelphia’s Cherry Street sold for $265,000. Delma Sandifer sold the home to Price and Adeline Murphree. The Murphrees in turn sold their 1,604-SF home at the 200 block of North 4th Street to Cynthia Turnbow for $255,000. The Murphrees bought that place in 2022 for $115,000.

Stuart and Debra Crow bought a 1,676-SF brick home at the 300 block of Mount Zion Road, Arkadelphia, for $240,000. Selling the home and 9.5-acre spread is the Scott Revocable Trust.

Lisa Austin bought a 1,848-SF brick home at the 1000 block of South 23rd Street, Arkadelphia, for $225,000. Seller is Thomas Person d/b/a Personequity LLC of Jonesboro, which bought the place in 2000 for $98,000.

Kaitlyn Hart and Kanovus Leeper bought a 1,796-SF brick home at the 1000 block of North 26th Street, Arkadelphia, for $224,450. Seller is Benton resident Robert Young, sole heir to the late Jean Hughes.

Jonathan and Emma Zamorano, of Bonnerdale, bought 72 acres of timberland north of Highway 84 and Cantu Road, near Amity, for $220,000. Sellers are Ian and Barbara Terry, of Fayetteville.

Christine and Richard Smith bought a property at the 700 block of South Hinsley Street, Arkadelphia, for $205,000. Seller is Richard Womack’s JMRW Properties LLC, which bought the property for $12,000 in a land-only transaction in 2024. There is no information on actdatascout regarding a dwelling.

Zachary and Keeli Buck bought a 1,960-SF home at the 600 block of School Street, Amity, for $200,000. Seller is the Kenneth and Patricia Lyons Living Trust.

Makisha Ellis and Jimmy Cooper, of Whelen Springs, bought a 1,730-SF brick home and 4 acres at the 1000 block of Sticky Road, Gurdon, for $150,000. Sellers Thomas and Leah Ellis bought the property for the same price in 2022.

Rodney and Cherilynne Ramsey, of Bacliff, Texas, bought two riverside lots at Caddo Paddock on Old Military Road. Selling the lots are Derek Franklin’s Cardinal Land Holdings LLC.

Jordan Anthony’s Riverstone Holdings LLC bought two lots adjoining his existing properties in the Shadow Ridge subdivision on Northridge Drive, Arkadelphia, for $148,400. Former owner is James Harrington.

Stacey and Takashi Enami bought a 1,230-SF home at the 100 block of Central Road for $125,000. Sellers are James and Amy Atkins, of McGehee. The Atkinses bought the place in 2024 for $115,000.
