Man struck, killed on Highway 67 near Donaldson

A Hot Spring County man was killed outside his Highway 67 home Friday afternoon, Dec. 11, 2025.

A preliminary fatal crash summary posted this weekend by Arkansas State Police says that Eldon Riley Jones, 31, of Malvern, was in a private driveway when a northbound 2003 Infiniti left the roadway, striking and killing Jones.

After striking Jones, the Infiniti continued in a northerly direction, striking three other vehicles parked alongside the highway. 

The driver of the Infiniti, 42-year-old Kenneth R. Novak Jr., of Hot Springs, was taken to UAMS hospital in Little Rock for treatment to injuries not listed in the report.

The Malvern Daily Record reported the incident happened at the 31000 block of Highway 67, which is about 5 miles north of the town of Donaldson. The newspaper reported that Jones had been working in his yard when he was struck.

Jones’s body was transported to the Hot Spring County Coroner’s Office.

Investigating State Trooper Matt Hall noted clear weather and dry roads at the time of the incident, which was recorded as 2:32 p.m.
