Felony Friday: Arkadelphia man suspected of numerous car break-ins, gun thefts

This is a roundup of felony charges filed Oct. 31 through Nov. 14, 2025, by the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office. Some defendants may also have misdemeanor charges against them, but they are not included here. The following names and charges, which are contained within public documents, are gathered from online court records available through ARCourts. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Here’s a rundown of felony cases filed the past two weeks:

Arkadelphia man caught with stolen guns, including one belonging to Hot Springs Village Police Department

A convicted felon from Arkadelphia is again facing serious charges for numerous alleged thefts of guns.

A police affidavit says that, between Oct. 14-23, the Arkadelphia Police Department had responded to a string of reported vehicle break-ins in neighborhoods around Walnut Street.

The first report was for a stolen .40 caliber handgun taken from an unlocked vehicle on Sylvia Street. A second report, taken five days later, was for an AR-style rifle, registered to the Hot Springs Village Police Department and issued to an officer living on Hartford Drive, also taken from a vehicle.

On Oct. 23 police were notified of a break-in in progress at the 1900 block of O’Connell Street. Upon arrival officers were shown surveillance footage of the incident showing a black male wearing descriptive clothing rummaging through a vehicle. Minutes later, patrolmen located the suspect, 22-year-old Zane Sherone Huddleston, one block away hiding in a Jeep Cherokee and wearing clothing matching what was seen in the footage. Huddleston, a convicted felon, was arrested on the scene.

Inside the vehicle in which Huddleston was hiding, police discovered a rifle and pistol — of different calibers and make than the previously reported thefts — as well as a crossbow and multiple debit and gift cards they soon learned had been stolen from three separate individuals from Walnut Street and Sylvia Street.

Huddleston admitted to the thefts in a police interview, and provided the whereabouts of the HSVPD officer’s stolen rifle in Hot Springs. Police there would recover the stolen gun.

Huddleston lists an address on O’Connell Street. He is being charged with Theft of Property: Firearm, a Class C felony punishable by 3-10 years in prison, and Breaking or Entering, a Class D felony punishable by up to 6 years in prison.

Witherspoon man accused of false imprisonment

Arkadelphia police were made aware on Aug. 30 of a concern that a female was being held against her will and being beaten.

The suspect would be identified as 22-year-old Christopher Trevon Avington, 22.

Police were shown a recorded FaceTime video call showing a female with multiple injuries to her face. One of the complainants said Avington had contacted him from the victim’s phone, and that during the call had made threats of killing them both.

Officers then went to Avington’s Witherspoon Road residence, where he and the victim were inside and initially would not come outside to speak with officers to confirm the victim’s health and safety. Avington was arrested that day.

Avington is charged with False Imprisonment, a Class C felony punishable by 3-10 years in prison, 1st-degree Terroristic Threatening, a Class D felony that carries a prison sentence of up to 6 years, and 3rd-degree Domestic Battery, a misdemeanor.

Arkadelphia man ignores protection order, makes threats

An Arkadelphia man unlawfully entered a home and made death threats against a sleeping person.

In the pre-dawn hours of Sept. 4, Johnathon Clay Weisse showed up to a Snyder Road residence from which he had been trespassed by a Protection Order earlier this year. According to witnesses, Weisse, 29, walked into the residence and woke a female resident. She said she heard Weisse make a verbal threat to stab a male who lay asleep in the room.

A police affidavit omits details pertaining to whether Weisse demanded the female outside the home, but notes she left with Weisse in her vehicle because she feared for the safety of herself and others in the home. The pair were on their way outside the residence when Weisse allegedly made death threats toward the female. The incident, including the threats, was reportedly caught on security footage.

Weisse is charged with Breaking or Entering and Terroristic Threatening, both felonies, as well as 2nd-degree False Imprisonment and Violation of a Protection Order, both misdemeanors.

Drug raid nets 19 pounds of pot

An Arkadelphia man is charged with multiple felony drug offenses following the execution of a search warrant on his Hartford Drive residence.

Adrian Jujuan Barrett, 28, was arrested Nov. 3, according to Barrett was arrested Nov. 3, according to booking records at the Clark County Detention Center.

On Oct. 30, authorities went to Barrett’s home to execute a search warrant. Upon approaching the residence an officer observed Barrett jump a back fence and run into the woods.

The search netted multiple bags of marijuana placed throughout the residence, digital scales, as well as 10 blue pills marked as Adderall. The pot would weigh a total of 19.27 pounds.

Inside the residence police also found a safe containing more than $4,800 in cash.

In the SUV where the suspect had been seen before fleeing, police located another bag of marijuana and a Glock pistol with a 33-round magazine. The SUV, the affidavit notes, is registered to Barrett.

Barrett is charged with Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, a Class Y felony that carries a prison sentence of 10-40 years, Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance With Purpose to Deliver, a Class C felony punishable by 3-10 years in prison, Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, a Class D felony punishable by up to 6 years in prison, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Report of rolling disturbance leads to drug arrests for Pine Bluff pair

Two Jefferson County residents were arrested in Caddo Valley after police found narcotics in their vehicle.

On Sept. 13, an officer with the Caddo Valley Police Department was called to a rolling domestic disturbance involving a white SUV with temporary tags headed toward Arkadelphia via North 10th Street.

A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Othello Johnson, 63, and a female passenger, Tomika Pridgeon, 43.

A police affidavit does not mention details about the reported disturbance but notes that neither occupant had a valid driver’s license.

Consent was given to search the vehicle, and the search yielded 3 bags of crack cocaine weighing 3.2 grams and 3 bags of methamphetamine weighing 2.2 grams.

According to the affidavit, neither party claimed ownership of the drugs, instead saying they belonged to the other person.

Both are charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance.

Fugitive found with drugs

An Arkadelphia man apparently on the lam was arrested at his residence, where authorities found methamphetamine.

On Oct. 29, Group 6 Narcotics Enforcement Unit paired up with an Arkansas Fugitive Task Force to round up 39-year-old Obryant Roberts. Contact was made with Roberts at his apartment on Main Street, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Roberts pointed officers to the whereabouts of a bag containing methamphetamine and a sock containing paraphernalia.

The meth weighed .52 grams.

Roberts is charged with Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance.

Little Rock woman nabbed for Walmart theft

A Central Arkansas pair left Arkadelphia’s Walmart with a gaming system and a few other items of merchandise without paying.

Police were made aware of the theft complaint four days later, when they were shown security footage captured on Sept. 21 of Tina Marbley, 43, and an unknown individual enter the store. The pair were seen going to the electronics department, where an associate removed a Nintendo Switch from a display case and escorted them to a self-checkout lane but didn’t stay with the customers. Seconds after the associate left, the two suspects scanned a few more items and used a card that was declined. They left the store with the merchandise, which totaled $558.

With a theft conviction in the past 10 years, Marbley is charged with Theft of Property Subsequent Offense, a Class D felony.

And another Walmart theft by banned customer

Another previously banned Walmart customer with a previous theft conviction also faces a felony charge.

Arkadelphia police were called to Walmart to take a delayed complaint of a shoplifting incident that occurred on Sept. 11, allegedly involving Allison McKittrick.

McKittrick, 46, was reportedly seen skip-scanning two items totaling $4.40. She was detained before exiting the store, but was able to escape and fled to the parking lot before police arrived at the scene.

An affidavit notes that McKittrick had previously been banned from the store on May 17 following a shoplifting offense; her criminal history also showed a previous theft conviction within the past decade.
