On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 1:40 p.m., an MPD Officer patrolling South Fredrick Road came into contact with a 53-year-old Magnolia man, who reportedly brandished a firearm and shot at the officer.

The officer returned fire, striking the suspect multiple times.
