Local trick-or-treaters should be prepared to dress warm for Halloween 2025, according to Arkadelphia’s extended weather forecast from the National Weather Service in Little Rock.

For most of the daylight hours Friday, Oct. 31, expect sunny skies with a high near 64 and calm winds.

When the ghouls and goblins come out for candy on Friday evening, skies will turn mostly cloudy, and the nighttime temperature will drop to a chilly 41 degrees, also with calm winds.

After all the candy has been consumed Friday night and Saturday, the sugar crashes will come with an “extra hour of sleep” as Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. Set those clocks back one hour (or kindly thank your phones and other smart devices for keeping tabs on time changes for you).
