One officer opened the door to find a patron inside drinking a beer, and asked to speak to whoever was in charge. The owner emerged and, confronted about the lack of permits, replied that she had filed for them but had yet to receive them, adding that the evening’s event was a private engagement party. She added that she had completed an inspection with the Arkadelphia Fire Department, although the officer learned later there were no records of such an inspection at that location.
