Six Henderson State University freshmen have been awarded Distinguished Freshman Scholarships for the 2025-26 academic school year. These full-tuition scholarships are awarded to a select number of students based on academic excellence and an application and interview process.
The 2025-26 Henderson State Distinguished Freshman Scholarship recipients are:
- Hudson Buie, an aviation major from Bryant. His parents are Natalie and Robbie Buie.
- Noah Carpenter, a music education major from Amity. His parents are Ella and Brandon Carpenter.
- Jared Campbell, a business major from Arkadelphia. His parents are Nathan and Karen Campbell.
- Madison Howard, a natural sciences major from Little Rock. Her parents are John and Michelle Howard.
- Jacey Jackson, a mechanical engineering major from Redfield. Her parents are Jeffrey and Jessica Jackson.
- Jake Spruill, an aviation major from Bryant. His parents are Kenny and Heather Spruill.
“We are honored to welcome these six exceptional students to Henderson State University,” said Dr. Trey Berry, Henderson chancellor. “Earning the Distinguished Freshman Scholarship is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. We are proud that these students have chosen Henderson State to pursue their education, and we look forward to supporting them as they grow, achieve, and contribute to our university community.”
