The Arkadelphia location, opened in 2018, is a state-of-the-art facility that includes rock walls, ball pits, sensory spaces, two age-appropriate play grounds, and unique gyms that promote not only effective but engaging healthcare. Students enjoy nine classrooms with center based play, circle time, custom curriculum, accessible classrooms, a low child-to-teacher ratio, two meals and a snack, and a full time nurse to assist with medical complexities and any concerns that may arise. The facility also includes a unique activities of daily living suite, the House Next Door, with a full kitchen and living room for individuals to master independent living skills.
With the assistance of insurance and Medicaid, the facility is able to offer free childcare for qualifying families. Its developmental preschool has been custom-tailored to best fit the needs of all community members by offering transportation assistance, free breakfast, lunch, and snack, a full-time nurse, low teacher-to-student ratios, and a custom curriculum.
Many families do not realize the benefits of different therapy services. A team of professionals can evaluate and recommend individualized treatment plans to ensure children have all the support possible for a healthy and successful future. When working with children, the importance of early intervention is critical for achieving developmental milestones that significantly improve long term outcomes.
Through its mission of Empowering Children to Conquer their World, Pediatrics Plus recognizes that success is an individualized goal without a set standard. Pediatrics Plus seeks to meet children where they are and help them move toward their most successful future.
Pediatrics Plus is also committed to community investment. With chamber membership, free community events, and investing in the town’s higher education establishments, it is passionate about the continued growth and development of the community of Arkadelphia and its members.
July is nationally recognized as Disability Pride Month, honoring the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990. Working with children who have special needs and have various developmental and physical disabilities, Pediatrics Plus is proud to take this month to recognize the victories its clients have had and those that they are working toward.
